I had a client that moved their IT resources to Azure without getting our input regarding the ERP stuff. It took us more than one try to get it tuned to perform adequately - mainly when dealing with the drive types the databases are stored on and connectivity between servers. I still don't think it is where it should be. On that experience alone, I'm not willing to recommend it to any of my customers until I either learn more, or the platform is improved.
