Mark, thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately that is not it. The issue occurs no matter what user is logged into that workstation. I did try clearing the XML files but the problem continues. My guess is the issue is with one of the prerequisite programs that the client install sees out there so it does not try to replace it but this is only a guess. I did not make it clear in my initial post that the error message always indicates the program name (e.g., GL - Chart of Accounts) in the stopped working message which suggests that the menu cache is fine but whatever SL needs to launch a menu item, regardless of the actual exe being launched is failing. Also, if we try to just double-click one of the exe files while SL is active, we get the same error.
